Scuba diving boosts adrenaline and is considered an adventurous sports activity. There are many health and psychological benefits to scuba diving, such as an increase of strength and flexibility and an overall increase in one’s emotional well-being.

Since scuba diving is practiced underwater, muscles need to work hard against the resistance of the water, which means that regular diving tends to strengthen muscles in the legs and arms. Once the diver warms up throughout the dive and practices standard breathing techniques, his or her blood pressure and heart rate tend to lower.

Divers need to swim, keep their balance, and pay attention to the environment, which means scuba diving is also likely to improve awareness and concentration capacity.
