The former CFO of Kulicke & Soffa, Jonathan Chou has served as independent non-executive director/audit committee chair of Microport Scientific Corp. since 2010 and board member/finance committee chair of the Emerging Markets Investors Alliance since 2019. Jonathan Chou also has a history of giving back to no-for-profit organizations starting with the Children’s Heart Foundation dating back to the 1990’s in Hong Kong.

For more than a quarter century, Hong Kong’s Children’s Heart Foundation has led volunteer efforts to aid pediatric heart disease patients and their families. As part of these efforts, it established House of the Heart (HOH) in 2000.

Located eight miles from Queen Mary Hospital in the Pok Fu Lam area of Hong Kong’s Southern District, HOH provides temporary lodging for families of hospitalized children. In addition to providing comforting amenities such as Wi-Fi connectivity and kitchen access, HOH offers psychological and emotional support through an on-site professional social worker.

The average stay spans roughly a week. To date, the House of the Heart has served more than 20,000 people.
